Regional Transit Authority (RTA)

The Department of Student Life and Ministry is excited to announce the availability of Jazzy Passes! These passes can be used over one 24 hour period on an RTA bus or streetcar. These passes are intended for students in need and not for recreational purposes. Please be advised these passes are short term solutions for those in need. Face covers and social distancing is required at all times when utilizing any RTA services. If you would like to request a Jazzy Pass, please fill out the HowlConnect form below. Once you have filled out the form, you will be contacted within two business days to let you know if your request has been approved or not. Download the Le Pass App to plan your trip and get real-time information!

Le Pass provides riders with a more efficient and seamless transit experience-- trip planner, mobile payment and real-time information -- all from one app. The new Le Pass app allows users to live track both RTA's buses, streetcars, and ferries as well as Jefferson Transit's (JET) buses in Jefferson Parish. With Le Pass, you can easily buy your passes right on your phone. No need to wonder about where your ride is or fumble with cash. To pay your fare, just tap to use a pass and then show your pass on your phone when you enter the vehicle.

RTA Assistance

Are you having issues getting to or from campus or an internship? The Department of Student Life and Ministry has a limited number of free RTA passes available to those students in need. Simply fill out this form and someone from their office will contact you.

Shuttle Services

We offer an On-Demand Service (ODS) route at the times listed below. The ODS allows students to call 504-865-3100 and request a shuttle to take them to various locations within the designated shuttle service area. The ODS hours of operation are different on Saturdays.

On Demand Service (ODS)

Monday- Friday: 6 p.m. to end time

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday and Summer Semester: No Service (Summer begins 5/13/23)

Walmart Supercenter, 5110 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, available 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturdays ONLY

Rouses Market, 4500 Tchoupitoulas St., available 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Winn-Dixie, 5400 Tchoupitoulas St., available 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Whole Foods Market, 5600 Magazine St., available 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
